So, it’s clear that in order to be a competitive brand, social media is a must have. But, how do you use each social media platform to grow your brand? This article will cover the use of Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube - three of the biggest marketing channels in social media.
Facebook has about 2.23 billion monthly active users! This puts the social media platform at the top of the list for social media sites to use for business. It will give your business the competitive edge to incorporate a Facebook page into your marketing plan.
To break it down a bit, you can post photos, videos, create ads, stream live video, and post to your Facebook story on the social media website. Trends show that consumers interact the most with video posts, followed by photos. If one of your followers enjoys the content you post, they have the option to share it. This is an organic way of getting more followers and growing your brand. Organic means that you are reaching a larger amount of people without paying to show up on their page. Just because you understand your business, doesn’t mean your followers all will, you have to post what they want to see.
Finally, use #hashtags! Using hashtags will help your posts reach more people than you ever would’ve imagined. Social media users can search hashtags when they are looking for something specific but aren’t quite sure where to go. Using the boat company example again, if you use the hashtags #fishing, #boat, and #lakelife, people will see your posts if they search any of those. Maybe they weren’t necessarily looking to buy a new boat, but now your post landed right in their lap and they are considering it. Or, maybe they enjoy the content on your page and share it with their friends, which will in return create a stronger brand awareness for your company.
