After making it through the first 3 months of 2020, here’s the main things we’ve noticed:
- Pick the right platform.
If you’re trying to attract a younger audience, Instagram is for you. Facebook captures a little bit of a wider audience, but zones in on people aged 30+. Are you trying to attract the attention of other businesses? LinkedIn is right for you! Trying to gain a large following through tutorials and videos? Head over to YouTube. Be sure to keep an eye out for TikTok in 2020, some people are saying it might be the next Snapchat, and we are thinking the same!
- Post engaging content.
Don’t just post to post. Make sure your content is engaging to your followers. What’s engaging for your followers probably isn’t the same as what’s engaging for others. Be sure to check out some analytics on your pages to see what your followers like best and plan around that!
- Focus on visuals.
If your post doesn’t have some kind of graphic with it, the odds are that it’s getting ignored. We are in a day and age where something needs to look interesting in order to draw attention!
- Be you.
Your brand should have a personality! Things don’t always need to be super formal, people interact more with brands that are relatable.
- Build a relationship with your followers.
We’ve said this before and we’ll say it again. In order for your brand to be successful, you need to build a relationship with your followers. Like their comments, share their posts, and show your gratitude for them. Remember, if it weren’t for them, your brand wouldn’t be what it is!
